Anathema Art was founded with the purpose of helping incarcerated artists use their time in prison to explore and utilize the healing and ameliorative properties of art; Anathema believes that every person has the ability to evolve into a new embodiment of themselves, and urges inmates to explore art in their healing and rehabilitative development.
